Team news
Everton have lost Idrissa Gueye (thigh) and Tom Davies (neck) over the international break. Ashley William is serving a ban for a red card. Sam Allardyce will also be without Gylfi Sigurdsson (knee) until May, joining Mason Holgate (knee), James McCarthy (calf) and Eliaquim Mangala, on loan from Saturday’s opponents. Sergio Aguero (knee) continues to be assessed but could make the matchday squad. Fabian Delph (knock) is hopeful of a return after over a month out. Benjamin Mendy (knee) has returned to training but is severely lacking match fitness after six months out. Another three points for Manchester City on Saturday will leave the Premier League pacesetters just one win away from the title.

Everton are the opponents at Goodison Park, one of just four teams to take points off City this season and the first way back in August as Wayne Rooney’s opener was cancelled out by Raheem Sterling. The last time City visited Merseyside they went home empty-handed as Liverpool won a thriller 4-3, but the Toffees are struggling with injuries and suspensions so anything but a loss would be a surprise.
